There is no single best med spa software in 2026: the right pick depends on the type of practice you run. Zenoti fits multi-location groups, Boulevard and Mangomint fit client-experience-led spas, Aesthetic Record fits injector-led practices that want a dedicated aesthetic EMR at a per-user price, PatientNow fits physician-led practices that want EMR and lead nurturing in one contract, and Pabau fits teams that want every feature on every plan.

Every price below is as listed on the vendor's own pricing page on 2026-10-20, linked at the point of use. Where a vendor only quotes after a sales call, we say so instead of guessing.

What is the best med spa software in 2026?

Most "best of" lists for this search are written by a vendor that ranks itself first. The AmSpa roundup is bylined "By GlossGenius" and ranks GlossGenius #1, and Zenoti's own list ranks Zenoti #1. That is normal marketing, but it means competitor prices on those pages are often out of date.

This comparison at a glance
6 platforms compared
3 publish full pricing
3 quote-only or partial

This list does not rank the six tools from first to sixth. It ranks them by practice archetype, because a solo injector and a five-location group are buying different products:

  • Solo injector or nurse practitioner: Aesthetic Record or Pabau's Solo plan.
  • 2-10 staff, client-experience-led med spa: Mangomint or Boulevard.
  • Physician-led practice needing e-prescribing or insurance billing: PatientNow, or Aesthetic Record with its e-prescribing add-on.
  • 3+ locations or a franchise: Zenoti, or Boulevard Enterprise.
  • Team that wants all features without tier gating: Pabau.

Three vendors publish full self-serve pricing (Mangomint, Aesthetic Record, Boulevard). Zenoti and PatientNow quote every deal, and Pabau quotes its larger plans after a demo.

Med spa software comparison table: 6 platforms side by side

The table below covers nine criteria. "Entry price" is the lowest published monthly figure as listed on 2026-10-20; it is not a like-for-like total, because each vendor counts users, calendars and locations differently.

Sources, all checked 2026-10-20: Mangomint pricing, Boulevard pricing, Aesthetic Record pricing, Zenoti's 2026 article, PatientNow pricing, Pabau pricing. "Not listed" and "Not checked" mean we did not find the item on the page we reviewed, not that the feature is missing.

Two corrections to what you may read elsewhere. Several roundups still quote Mangomint at $165, $245 and $375 tiers; the Mangomint pricing page now lists $120 per location plus $10 per user, as listed on 2026-10-20. And Mangomint's feature list on the same page includes "Forms & Charting", so check the vendor page before accepting a claim that it has no charting.

How much does med spa software cost? A worked example

Published entry prices are not what you will pay. As the GlossGenius-authored AmSpa guide puts it, platforms that charge "per user, per calendar, or per location" can turn a low entry price into a much higher one once the whole team is on the system. The same guide shows how much card processing matters: on $25,000 a month in card volume, the gap between a 2.6% and a 3.1% rate is $125 a month.

Example: a single-location med spa with 8 people on the system: 3 injectors, 2 aestheticians and 3 front desk staff. Only published prices as listed on 2026-10-20 are used. Processing fees, card readers, e-prescribing, extra texts and taxes are excluded.

  • Mangomint: $120 for the location + 8 users x $10 = $200 per month, or $2,400 in year one. Every staff profile counts as a user, front desk included, per the Mangomint FAQ. Onboarding and data transfer are free.
  • Aesthetic Record Essentials: 8 x $15 = $120 per month, $1,440 a year, plus the $399 startup and onboarding fee = $1,839 in year one (Aesthetic Record pricing).
  • Aesthetic Record Accelerator: 8 x $19 = $152 per month, $1,824 a year + $399 = $2,223 in year one.
  • Boulevard Essentials + Forms: $143 + $65 Forms add-on = $208 per month = $2,496 a year. Essentials allows up to 5 bookable provider calendars, which fits exactly 5 providers (Boulevard pricing).
  • Boulevard Prestige (Forms included): $328 per month at the limited-time promo price = $3,936 a year, or $4,920 a year at the regular $410.
  • Zenoti, PatientNow, Pabau: quote-based for this team size, so no number can be calculated honestly.
$1,839Aesthetic Record Essentials, year one
$2,400Mangomint, year one
$2,496Boulevard Essentials + Forms

Example team of 8 users, published prices only; Zenoti, PatientNow and Pabau are quote-only. Source: vendor pricing pages, as listed on 2026-10-20.

The spread at this size is under $700 a year between the four published options. That is less than half a year of the $125 monthly processing gap in the AmSpa example, so ask each vendor for its card rates before you compare subscriptions.

Which med spa software fits your practice type?

Use the archetype that describes how your practice makes money, not the one you hope to become in three years. Migrating is painful (see the checklist below), but paying for an enterprise suite you do not use costs more.

Which med spa software fits your practice type: first pick and alternative for solo injectors, small med spas, physician-led practices, multi-location groups
Decision matrix by practice archetype. Source: vendor product and pricing pages, checked 2026-10-20.
Pro tip Count your users before you count features. Per-user pricing (Aesthetic Record, Mangomint's user fee) rewards lean teams; per-location pricing (Boulevard Premier and Prestige) rewards large teams at one site.

A few practical notes per archetype:

  • Solo injectors pay for onboarding once and users monthly. Aesthetic Record's $15 per user plan is the lowest published per-seat figure here, with a $399 onboarding fee. Pabau's Solo plan includes every feature; check pabau.com/pricing for the current Solo price, since larger plans are quoted after a demo.
  • Client-experience spas with several providers and a busy front desk usually care about booking flow, memberships and checkout. Mangomint lists Memberships & Packages and Retail & Inventory, and Boulevard's Premier tier adds unlimited professionals per location.
  • Physician-led practices that bill insurance or prescribe often outgrow a booking-first tool. PatientNow's Catalyst AI plan lists e-prescribing, lab ordering and insurance billing (PatientNow pricing).
  • Groups and franchises need central reporting and consistent clinical notes across sites, which is Zenoti's stated focus.

Zenoti vs Boulevard vs Mangomint: where each one is strongest

Each vendor below gets its real strengths and one documented limit, taken from its own page.

Key point In the 8-user example, Mangomint ($200/mo) and Boulevard Essentials with Forms ($208/mo) cost almost the same. The decision between them is about workflow fit, not price.

Zenoti

  • Built for multi-location and enterprise operations.
  • Clinical depth: "Injectable treatment notes capture product, units per injection zone, lot number, expiry date", per Zenoti's article.
  • Documented limit, in the vendor's own words: "Custom pricing; heavier implementation; cost may exceed ROI for very small single-provider practices."

Boulevard

  • Transparent tiers: Essentials $143/mo, Premier $234/mo per location (normally $293), Prestige $328/mo per location (normally $410), as listed on 2026-10-20 on the Boulevard pricing page. The lower Premier and Prestige prices are a limited-time offer for new customers.
  • Its FAQ lists SOC 2 and PCI Level 1 for security and card payments.
  • Boulevard Offset lets the patient pay a 3% card fee while the practice pays 1%.
  • Documented limits: Essentials caps you at 5 bookable provider calendars, payments require the Boulevard Duo POS device bought separately, and base processing rates are not published.

Mangomint

  • Simple published model: $120 per location plus $10 per user per month, as listed on 2026-10-20 (Mangomint pricing).
  • Free onboarding, free data transfer, no contracts and a free trial.
  • Features include Forms & Charting, Memberships & Packages, Multi-Location, Web Chat and Reporting.
  • Documented limit: Phone ($70/mo per line), Marketing (from $30/mo) and Payroll ($50/mo + $8 per worker) are billed separately.

Aesthetic Record

  • Lowest published per-user price: Essentials $15 and Accelerator $19 per user per month, as listed on 2026-10-20 (Aesthetic Record pricing).
  • 90-day guided onboarding with a specialist, plus add-ons for e-prescribing ($31-$45/mo by option and term) and ChartSmart AI ($30, $50 or $75 per month for 50, 100 or unlimited charts).
  • LeadAR syncs leads and new patients into Aesthetic Record, with a Start plan at $97.
  • Documented limits: a $399 startup and onboarding fee on both published plans, and per-user caps such as 250 SMS and 300 emails a month on Essentials.

PatientNow

  • One contract for EMR and practice management, lead management, email and SMS marketing, payments and patient financing on the Standard plan (PatientNow pricing).
  • Amplify adds advanced lead capture, automated drip campaigns and telehealth; Catalyst AI adds e-prescribing, insurance billing and reputation management. AI Scribe is on all plans.
  • Documented limit: no published prices. The vendor says "we build a quote around your size, locations, and the features you need."

Pabau

  • "Full access on every plan": plans differ only by number of users, from Solo (1) to Enterprise (16+ with multi-location), per Pabau pricing as listed on 2026-10-20.
  • Annual billing saves up to 20%.
  • Documented limits: plans above Solo are quoted after a demo, and add-ons (Marketing Plus, Care Plus, Insights Plus, Engage Plus) show no public price.

Do you need a med spa EMR or a CRM?

Most of these six are a system of record: charting, booking, payments and the patient file live there. A lead CRM layer solves a different problem: the patient who filled in a Meta or Google lead form and has not booked yet. Several of the six include marketing tools (Aesthetic Record's LeadAR, PatientNow's lead management, Mangomint's Marketing add-on), and for many practices that is enough.

Where Palyri fits Palyri is a CRM and lead pipeline for aesthetic practices, not an EMR, not a booking engine and not a payments system. It does not replace any of the six platforms above. It takes in Meta lead ads, moves each lead through a pipeline with follow-up tasks, records the visit outcome and objections, and sends Meta Conversions API events back to your ad account.

Pick your system of record first. If you need charting, payments and booking, choose one of the six. Add a separate lead layer only if your bottleneck is working ad leads: leads called too late, lost in a spreadsheet, or never followed up after a no-show. Our guide on what you lose running leads in a spreadsheet and the one on managing Meta ad leads cover that problem in depth.

If you are evaluating a lead CRM specifically, start with how to choose a CRM for an aesthetic practice, then see what a CRM for medical aesthetics practices looks like in Palyri. Palyri pricing is published separately, and the lead ROI calculator lets you test whether faster follow-up would pay for itself with your own numbers.

How to switch med spa software without losing patient data

Switching is where most of the hidden cost sits. Use this checklist with every vendor on your shortlist before you sign.

StepWhat to ask or doWhat vendors publish (as of 2026-10-20)
1. Export from your current systemRequest a full export of patients, appointments, charts, photos, consents and package balances. Ask for the file format in writing.Depends on your current vendor
2. Data transfer into the new oneAsk who maps the data, what it costs and which fields cannot be imported (often photos and chart PDFs).Mangomint: free data transfer
3. Onboarding fee and timelineGet the one-off fee and the number of weeks to go-live.Aesthetic Record: $399, 90-day guided onboarding; Mangomint: free onboarding
4. Demo on your own workflowsRun a real consult, a filler touch-up with lot number, a membership renewal and a refund in the demo.Pabau, PatientNow and Zenoti quote after a demo
5. Contract termsAsk for minimum term, cancellation notice and export rights on exit.Mangomint: no contracts; Boulevard: 10% saving on annual
6. Payments and hardwareGet card rates in writing and list any devices you must buy.Boulevard: Duo POS device required for payments
7. Data security and accessAsk in writing where patient data is hosted, how access is limited by role, and how records are exported and deleted when you leave.Boulevard: SOC 2 and PCI Level 1 listed in its FAQ
8. Parallel runKeep the old system read-only for at least one billing cycle and check balances match.Your decision

If you are also changing how patients book online, read our notes on online booking setup before go-live, and confirm that active membership programs carry their remaining balances across.

FAQ

What is the best software for a small med spa?

For a small medspa with one location, the shortlist is usually Aesthetic Record, Mangomint and Boulevard, because all three publish their prices. As listed on 2026-10-20, Aesthetic Record starts at $15 per user per month plus a $399 onboarding fee, Mangomint costs $120 per location plus $10 per user, and Boulevard Essentials is $143 per month for one location with up to 5 provider calendars. Injector-led practices that want a clinical record first tend to lean toward Aesthetic Record; spas built around booking flow and front-desk experience tend to lean toward Mangomint or Boulevard. Pabau's Solo plan is also worth a look if you work alone.

How much does med spa software cost per month?

It depends on how the vendor counts. For an example team of 8 people at one location, published prices as listed on 2026-10-20 work out to about $120 per month on Aesthetic Record Essentials (plus $399 once), $200 on Mangomint and $208 on Boulevard Essentials with the Forms add-on. Boulevard Prestige is $328 per location per month at its promo price. Zenoti and PatientNow publish no prices and quote after a demo, and Pabau quotes plans above Solo. Add card processing on top: the AmSpa guide shows a 0.5-point rate gap costs $125 a month on $25,000 of volume.

Does Mangomint have charting for med spas?

Yes. The Mangomint pricing page lists "Forms & Charting" among its features as of 2026-10-20, alongside Memberships & Packages, Multi-Location and Reporting. Some third-party roundups still say Mangomint has no clinical charting, so rely on the vendor page and a demo rather than older articles. If your practice needs e-prescribing, insurance billing or lab ordering, those were not on the Mangomint page we reviewed, and a clinically heavier platform such as PatientNow or Aesthetic Record with its e-prescribing add-on may fit better. Test your own injectable note template during the trial.

Is Zenoti or Boulevard better for a med spa?

Zenoti is the stronger fit for groups and franchises: it is built for multi-location operations, and its injectable notes capture product, units per zone, lot number and expiry. Zenoti itself says custom pricing, heavier implementation and cost that may exceed ROI for very small single-provider practices are its weak points. Boulevard is the stronger fit for one to a few locations that want published pricing and a polished patient experience: Essentials is $143 per month and Premier is $234 per location at its current promo, as listed on 2026-10-20. Boulevard's Enterprise tier exists for larger groups if you outgrow the standard plans.

Do I need a separate CRM if my med spa software has marketing tools?

Usually not at first. Aesthetic Record (LeadAR), PatientNow (lead management and drip campaigns) and Mangomint (Marketing add-on) all include some lead or marketing tooling. A separate lead CRM makes sense when you spend meaningfully on Meta or Google ads and the problem is what happens before the first booking: slow response, no follow-up structure, no record of why leads did not convert. Palyri is one such layer and sits in front of your system of record, it does not replace it. Our guide on how to choose a CRM for an aesthetic practice lists what to check.

How do I protect patient data when choosing med spa software?

Ask every vendor on your shortlist four questions in writing before any data moves: where patient records are hosted (country and cloud region), how access is limited by role so front desk staff only see what they need, how you export a complete copy of charts, photos and consents, and how your data is deleted when you leave. Of the six, Boulevard lists SOC 2 and PCI Level 1 in its FAQ as of 2026-10-20; for Zenoti, PatientNow, Mangomint, Aesthetic Record and Pabau, ask for their current security documentation. Treat a vague answer to any of the four as a reason to keep looking.
